Alternative Medicine Expands Into Online First Aid

Lotus Health Center, Inc., has launched an alternative first aid website, http://www.firstaidnaturally.com. This "one-stop online shop" combines holistic first aid kits for online shoppers with informative content for common first aid ailments.

"We believe in empowering the consumer with product knowledge on how to handle common first aid ailments with herbs, homeopaths and essential oils. Our natural first aid kits fill a growing demand in the health market for alternative first aid solutions," according to Lisa Barrett, president of Lotus Health Center, Inc.

Natural first aid kits are an essential part of the exploding market for herbs and other natural remedies. In a recent Time Magazine article (11/98), reports showed Americans are flocking to alternative treatments. "Consumers spent a whopping $12 billion on natural supplements last year and sales continue to grow at better than 10% a year," Time reported.

FirstAidNaturally.com is positioning itself as the online natural first aid kit leader. "We take great pride in the quality and user-friendliness of our kits," explains Barrett, who is also a licensed acupuncture physician and certified herbologist. "We thoroughly researched the market for remedies and supplies that would provide the broadest range of treatment for common first aid ailments, and instructions are included in the kits for proper use of the remedies."

"Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Our customers genuinely appreciate the fact that there are real healthcare professionals behind this website, and customer service and satisfaction are top priorities," adds Barrett.

FirstAidNaturally.com customers range from homemakers, to office personnel, to campers and travelers, to Y2K enthusiasts who are making preparations in the event of a millennium crisis. "Better to be safe, capable of taking care of yourself and loved ones when unforeseen health incidents occur," Barrett warns.

Presently, FirstAidNaturally.com offers two comprehensive kits: the basic and the deluxe. Coming soon will be travel kits, camping kits and alternative medicine cabinet conversion kits.

Cost of the kits are an affordable $89.95 for the basic or $129.95 for the deluxe. Included in the kits are a variety of the most commonly used natural herbs, homeopaths, salves, and essential oils, along with necessary bandages, gauzes, scissors, etc. The instructions included are easy to use; however, "our customers can always call our clinic or e-mail with questions or concerns," assures Barrett.

Secured online transactions have taken most of the fear out of online shopping. While customers are kept apprised of their order via e-mail status reports from FirstAidNaturally.com, the web-wary may still mail-in a check or call-in a credit card transaction to Lotus Health Center, Inc.
