Basic Sponge

 


Ingredients:

1 cup bread flour
2 teaspoons sugar
1 package dry yeast (2-1/2 teaspoons)
3/4 cup very warm water (120&176; to 130&176;)

Instructions:

Estimated Total Time: 10 minutes

Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. 

Place all the ingredients in a food processor, and process for 1 minute or until well-blended. Spoon mixture into a medium bowl; cover and chill sponge for 2 to 24 h
