Ingredients:
2/3 cup 2% lowfat milk
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh
chives
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon finely chopped
fresh rosemary
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all purpose flour
Instructions:
Combine milk, chives, baking
powder, rosemary, salt and black pepper in a large bowl and mix well.
Stir in flours, ½
cup at a time until blended.
Turn onto floured surface
and knead about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic, adding flour as
needed.
Let stand at room temperature
about 30-minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
Divide dough into 12 equal
balls. Roll each ball into a long thin rope and place on baking sheet.
Lightly spray bread sticks
with cooking spray.
Bake about 12 minutes or
until bottoms or golden brown. Turn bread sticks over and bake about 10
minutes more or until browned.
Serve with soup, salad or
with a meal.
