Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients:
9 eggs, slightly beaten
3 cup sugar
9 tbsp. melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup white Karo syrup
3 tsp. vanilla
6 cups pecan halves
3 ready made pie crusts
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450°F. Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla
in a bowl. Mix until blended. Add melted butter (cool so it does not cook
eggs), syrup. Mix until blended. Add pecans and mix until pecans are all
coated. Pour mixture into pie crusts. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.
Lower temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes or
until center of pie has set. Remove from oven and let cool befor serving.
Recipe works best if mixture is divided into 3 and mixed
individually for each pie.
