Acne-battling clothing line released
TORONTO, May 30 (UPI) -- A line of clothing using special fabrics to treat acne, rejuvenate aging skin and provide a sunscreen was announced in Toronto Friday.
The Sunsoul company's casual, sports-oriented clothing line comes in yellow or blue, both of which use "patent-pending technology that fuses fluorescent compounds to the micro-fiber of the material, resulting in the conversion of harmful UV rays and broad spectrum sunlight into amplified narrow bands of beneficial light when exposed to the sun," a release said.
The blue line is suited to those with acne, as it creates blue spectrum light, which the company said has been proven in dermatological procedures to be effective in eradicating acne-causing bacteria.
The yellow line creates the same yellow light that is the foundation of the rejuvenating laser treatments used by dermatologists. Both lines also provide sun protection of UPF 50, the company said.
Prices range from $70 for a visor or baseball cap to $140 for a long sleeved top as seen on the company's www.sunsoul.com site.
