A New Style Of Man Emerges

Sarah Gilbert of the New York Post writes a new species of men has been spotted strutting the streets of the Big Apple -- at upscale clothing stores, hair and nail salons and makeup counters.

They're called Glam Guys and Gilbert writes they are "a fresh breed of unabashed style-mongers who mix retro influences with first-class tailoring. They've traded in their rock concert T-shirts, torn jeans and Pumas for French cuffed shirts, sleek leather boots and Sgt. Pepper-style military jackets with epaulettes and brass buttons."

For whatever reason -- guys suddenly find dressing up the thing to do.

Mary Jencks, a makeup artist for Urban Decay, told the paper more men are getting into makeup. She says they are a little shy -- slinking around the makeup counter asking sheepish questions about eyeliner and foundation.
