Angela Lansbury Announcement On Organ Donation
The ongoing
campaign, which will involve nearly a year-long series of celebrity PSAs,
features Angela Lansbury, widely acclaimed television, film and Broadway
actress, as well as Tom Skerritt, best known for his leading roles in television,
including the show Picket Fences, and in film, such as the widely popular
Top Gun.
A total of four
PSAs involving these two celebrities have been produced: Ms. Lansbury contributed
to the production of both an organ donation PSA, as well as a PSA focused
on hepatitis C. Mr. Skerritt dedicated his time to a PSA regarding primary
biliary cirrhosis, or PBC, and liver disease in general.
The campaign
kicked off the last week of April, with the distribution of Ms. Lansbury's
organ donor PSA. This month, the PBC PSA will be distributed along with
the PSAs for hepatitis C and liver disease.
