LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles man drove about 20 miles down the freeway before another motorist frantically alerted him his cat, Kinky, had stowed away atop his vehicle.
Greg Kvenbo was tooling down the highway when, in Kvenbo's words, the other driver pulled alongside pointing and "screaming and yelling" about the distressed cat on the roof of his truck, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday.
Kvenbo said he thought initially he had failed to secure the ladders he carried on his truck, but instead found Kinky had gone for a ride on top of the ladders.
Kinky was typically something of a scaredy-cat, but Kvenbo said, "this time, she sat on my lap all the way home."
